قد تبدو هذه الفرضية مجرد تفكير رغائبي، لكن الصورة لن تكون كذلك، حين نضع في الإعتبار التطورات الجسام في النظام العالمي، مع بدء الإنحسار النسبي لهيمنة الغرب المطلقة عليه منذ معاهدة وستفاليا؛ وعودة الحضارات الآسيوية الشرقية إلى ساحة الفعل التاريخي، والتحولات الكاسحة في المشرق المتوسطي بعد العودة المجلجلة لتركيا وإيران إلى كنف الحضارة الإسلامية، كلٌ على طريقتها، بعد محاولات دامت نيفاً وقرن لتوثيق الطلاق المُبرم مع هذه الحضارة ومع الإقليم نفسه تاريخياً وثقافياً.
كل هذه التطورات - المنعطفات توفَر فرصة نهوض للمشرق، لكن هذا بالطبع لن يكون كافياً، فمن دون بروز من يُمسك بتلابيب هذه الفرصة، لن تكون هناك فرصة، من دون بروز نخب تركية وإيرانية وكردية وعربية تنشط بشكل مشترك، ستتبدد هذه الفرصة التاريخية التي ستسمح بنهوض الإقليم على كل المستويات الثقافية والإقتصادية والسياسية والإستراتيجية، وحينها ستتحوّل "حروب الثلاثين عاماً" الطائفية - الجيو - سياسية التي نشبت في المنطقة في مطالع القرن الحادي والعشرين إلى حرب المائة عام.
المؤلف يبدي في تضاعيف كتابه ثقة لا تهتز بأن فينيق المشرق سينحاز إلى هذه الفرصة التاريخية، وسينهض حتماً من تحت الرماد، فهذا، برأيه، كان داب المشرق منذ فجر تاريخه المُؤسس لجل الحضارات والأديان في العالم.
