جاء هذا الكتاب (الجزء الأول) ليبين وجهة النظر العربية حول واقع العلاقات واحتمال تطورها، وتقويم الرصيد المشترك للتجربة العثمانية، وخيار "المشرق الأوسط" في السياسة الخارجية التركية. وسيشمل الجزء الثاني وجهة النظر التركية حول تركيا على مفترق التحولات في النظام العالمي، واتجاهات التعاون/التنافس التركي-الإيراني، وأطر التعاون بين تركيا وإيران وباكستان.
