إلا أن هذا الموروث المدون لم نستطع أن نطوره، كما طوّره الغربيون في الحقبة المعاصرة، فطرائق تعليم الكتابة في مدارسنا ظلت أسيرة للطابع الأدبي الذي يخالطه الإستطراد ممزوجاً بالمحسنات اللفظية على حساب تنظيم الافكار وتسلسلها، في حين أن الغربيين قدموا طرائق لتعليم الكتابة الفنية، ووضعوا لها تقنيات ليتدرب التلاميذ عليها منذ دخولهم المدرسة وإلى حين تخرجهم من الجامعة لتمكينهم من كتابة نص محكم التنظيم، متسلسل الأفكار، يتناول موضوع النص مباشرة دون مقدمات طويلة واستطرادات مملة، ويعالجه علاجاً منهجياً ومنطقياً.
إن كتاب الدكتور الهاشمي يعد إضافة نوعية للمكتبة العربية، إضافة نوعية في موضوع وإضافة نوعية في محتواه.
