لقد ضم هذا الكتاب ثلاثة أبواب موزعة على أحد عشر فصلا حيث جاء الباب الأول بعنوان النحو العربي حيث ضم ثلاثة فصول وهي علم النحو أستراتيجيات تدريس النحو ونماذج لموضوعات نحوية أما الباب الثاني الأساليب النحوية ويضم عشرة أساليب منها الأستفهام، الأمر، النهي، التوكيد، التعجب، الإغراء، الإختصاص.
أما الباب الثالث يتمحور حول الإملاء (الرسم الكتابي) ويضم خمسة فصول وهي: مفهوم الأملاء، قواعد الإملاء، قواعد زيادة، الحروف، تذكير العدد وتأنيثه، الأخطاء الإملائية واللغوية.
أما الباب الرابع فاختص بالترقيم حيث ضم فصولا أربعة وهي: علامات الترقيم القديمة والحديثة، قواعد علامات الترقيم، النظام الصوتي للحروف العربية، استعمال المعجم العربي.
