تطرقت في الفصل الأول إلى ما حصل للعراق في أعماق التاريخ وقبل ظهور الإسلام، وفي الفصل الثاني تطرق الكاتب إلى الدور السلبي لمرجعية النجف تجاه الرئيس القومي في بغداد من بداية الحكم الملكي عام 1921 صعوداً إلى كل قادة ورؤساء جمهوريات العراق حتى غزوه وإحتلاله عام 2003.
وتطرق الكاتب بالفصل الثالث إلى كيف استُدرج قائد الدولة القومية صدام حسين ومن شاركوه، وفي الفصل الرابع تطرق الكاتب إلى جرائم أمريكا وإستغلالهم لمجلس الأمن وتوجيهه لإصدار قرارات مجحفة ومنحازة ضد شعب العراق، وفي الفصل الخامس تطرق لجريمة الحاكم المدني الجديد للعراق الأمريكي بول بريمر وأحمد الجلبي وقادة الأحزاب الكردية.
