سعى المؤلف من خلالها إلى إلقاء الضوء على السيرة الذاتية لهذا الشاعر، موضحاً الظروف التي عاشها والتي رافقت رحلته الشاقة في العذاب، منقباً عن بيئته وسيرته الأدبية وعصره الذي عاش فيه، كما وعنى المؤلف بتضمين دراسته بحثاً دار حول فنونه الشعرية متوخياً بذلك الكشف عن شاعر ملهم ظلم نفسه وظلم الناس.
