1-اعتمد في تحقيق هذا الكتاب على النسخة المصورة عن طبعته القديمة، المتداولة، مع الإستعانة في تصحيحها بمخطوطات الكتاب في دار الكتب المصرية.
2-تخريج الشواهد القرآنية.
3-تخريج الشواهد الحديثية في كتب الحديث المشهورة مع الحكم على الحديث.
4-تخريج الشواهد الشعرية في دواوينها ومصادرها في كتب الأدب وكتب التراث البلاغي.
5-شرح معاني الألفاظ الغريبة.
6-الترجمة الوافية لكل من الخطيب القزويني صاحب الأصل (التلخيص) وابن يعقوب المغربي صاحب الشرح (مواهب الفتاح).
7-الفهارس العلمية الشاملة للموضوعات وللشواهد الشعرية.
8-ثبت مصادر التحقيق.
