عبد الستار توفيق قاسم الخضر كاتب ومفكر ومحلل سياسي وأكاديمي فلسطيني، ولد في بلدة دير الغصون بمحافظة طولكرم، وهو أستاذ العلوم السياسية و الدراسات الفلسطينية في جامعة النجاح الوطنية في نابلس. له رصيد سياسي ونضالي وطني ضد الاحتلال التوسعي الإسرائيلي من خلال كتاباته، وينقد ويطرح الأسئلة الكبرى، قد انتقد نهج أوسلو ومسلكيات جماعة أوسلو، ورفض نهج التسوية والمفاوضات السياسية بين حركة فتح وإسرائيل، ووقف ضد الفساد في أروقة السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية ودوائرها المتعددة. ونتيجة مواقفه تعرض للكثير من المساءلات والتحقيقات والملاحقات السياسية من قبل الأجهزة الأمنية الفلسطينية، التي اودعته السجن أكثر من مرة. و يعتبر تنسيق السلطة أمنيًّا مع الاحتلال "خيانة عظمى".
حياته الشخصية
حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم السياسية من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، ثم على درجة الماجستير في العلوم السياسية من جامعة ولاية كنساس الأمريكية، ثم درجة الماجستير في الاقتصاد من جامعة ميزوري الأمريكية، ثم الدكتوراه في الفلسفة السياسية من جامعة ميزوري أيضاً عام 1977. ورتبته الأكاديمية بروفيسور في جامعة النجاح.
أستاذ في جامعة النجاح الوطنية، وأستاذ مساعد في الجامعة الأردنية عام 1978، وأنهيت خدماته بعد سنة ونصف (عام 1979) لأسباب سياسية على إثر اجتياح إسرائيل لجنوب لبنان، و سابقاً أستاذ في جامعة بيرزيت، وجامعة القدس.
جوائز
حاز على جائزة عبد الحميد شومان في مجال العلوم السياسية.
