تمثل هذه الموسوعة الخاصة بالأمراض التناسلية والبولية والجلدية عنواناً هاماً في عالم الطب المعاصر، وذلك لأن الأمراض المشار إليها تمثل نسبة كبيرة وأصبحت ملحوظة في هذه الأيام نظراً لتفشي بعض هذه الأمراض بصورة جماعية في بعض مناطق العالم كالإيدز وغيره.
والأمراض الجلدية هي الأخرى أصبحت في هذه الأيام تسبب كثيراً من الأرق للمرضى، وانتشرت العيادات الخاصة بأمراض الجلد في العالم بشكل يدعو للاستغراب والتعجب. وأعتقد أن السبب في ذلك يعود إلى ظهور أنواع جديدة من الأمراض الجلدية، وخاصة بعد تطور الأسلحة الكيماوية والجرثومية وانتشار مصانع الأسلحة الذرية والنووية.
وقد جاءت الموسوعة في ثلاثة عشر فصلاً، فناقشت موضوع علم الجنس والأجهزة التناسلية الذكرية والأنثوية بأقسامها وقنواتها، ثم أمراض الجهاز التناسلي الذكري والأنثوي، واضطرابات كلا الجهازين، وثم الاهتمام بشكل واضح بأمراض الجهاز التناسلي الأنثوي وذلك لكثرة المشاكل المرضية التي تصيب هذا الجهاز من تقرحات وانتفاخات والتهابات قد تؤدي في بعض الأحيان إلى العقم لدى المرأة.
ثم تطرقت إلى الأمراض المنتقلة عن طريق الجهاز التناسلي كمرض الزهري والسفلس والقرحة وغيره، ثم الإجهاض والولادة القيصرية، ثم أورام الجهاز البولي. وفي الفصول الأخيرة، تم التحدث عن الجلد وأمراضه وطرق علاجها مثل الأكزيما والشرى والثعلبة والبهاق وغيرها من الأمراض.
