بالوقت نفسه فإن الكتاب يتناول الموازنات المرنة Flexible Budgets بأسلوب يسهل على الإدارة العليا تحديد الخطط المستقبلية وآفاق التحسين المستمر، ورصد الموازنات التي تخصص بموجبها الأموال على مجالات الأنشطة بموضوعية أكبر.
كما يركز المؤلف على مؤشر كلفوي آخر يتجسد في تحديد إنحرافات المبيعات سواءً لدى المنظمات أحادية المنتج او تلك التي تتعدد منتجاتها.
ومن النقاط المشرقة التي تظهر في هذا المؤلف وهي كثيرة، أن يقوم مؤلف عربي للمرة الأولى بحسب معرفتنا المتواضعة بمعالجة محاسبية ذات أفق ومنظور إستراتيجييّن تطول قضيتين عاليتيّ الحيوية: هما قضية تكاليف حماية البيئة (Environmental Protection Cost) وإدارة الكلفة الإستراتيجية (Strategic Management of Cost) فالقضية الأولى المرتبطة بالبيئة ما زالت فتيّة في فلسفة وأسلوب عمل إدارات منظمات الأعمال العربية رغم أنها في قلب "المسؤولية الإجتماعية" لتلك المنظمات إلا أنها ما زالت بحاجة إلى مؤشرات وتقنيات ذات صفة محاسبية تسهل معالجتها والتعامل معها عملياً.
والقضية الأخرى "إدارة التكلفة بمنظور إستراتيجي"، حيث يهيئ هذا المؤلف للإدارة الإستراتيجية بمنظمة الأعمال الأدوات التي يفتقدونها حول الكيفية (How) فبدونها ستبقى مهمة إظهار سلسلة القيمة (Value Chain) أصعب من الناحية التنفيذية.
