إنّ علم الفقه هو المنهج الأساس لحياة المسلم، وقد يقع اختلافٌ بين الفقهاء والمجتهدين في فهم النّص لحكمةٍ أرادها الله وليرفع الحرجَ عن هذه الأمّة، وإنّ موازنة آراء الفقهاء بعد جمعها يُظهر مدى سعة الثّروة العلميّة الهائلة للقرآن العزيز وسنّة الرّسول العظيم. وقد حوى هذا الكتاب طائفة كبيرة من مسائل «فقه الزّكاة ومستجداتّها المعاصرة»، مصاغةً بمنهج الفقه المقارَن، منتظمةً في فصولٍ اثنَي عشَـرَ؛ كان الفصل الأول منها في مقدّماتٍ في الزكاة، وأحكام الامتناع عن دفعها، ثم تحدّث الثاني عن شروطها، وناقشت الفصول التالية زكاة الدين، وعروض التجارة، والخِلطة في الزكاة، واستثمار أموالها، وطريقة دفعها، ثم زكاة السنَدات والأسهُم في البنوك والشركات، وزكاة المستغَلّات والمكائن وآلات العمل والمصانع، وزكاة المال المكتسَب، ومصارف الزكاة، وتحدّث الفصلُ الأخير عن زكاة المواشي والأبدان.
