"الملحمة الحسينيّة" كانت فريدة بأبطالها، بقائدها، بأهل بيته الكرام، بأصحابه وأنصاره الميامين، برفاق دربه البررة، بالأصالة والحقّ الذي كان رائد كلّ منهم، تلك الفرادة التي اجتذبت أفراداً كثراً من معسكر الأعداء إلى معسكر الحق.
يتناول كابتنا هذه الملحمة الفريدة من جانبها الحيّ الملتهب صدقاً وحماساً، المشعّ أصالة ونبل هدف، تناوُلَ الجراح وقد أشرع مبضع الحقيقة والواقع، وراح يزيل ما تراكم عليها من أدران الوهم والخيال، ويكشف زيف ما علق بها من تشويه الأساطير والخرافات، ويدفع ما لحق بها من مبالغات وشطط، تلك العلل التي كانت تخرج بها - لولا أصالتها وفرادتها - عن أصلها وجوهرها وحقيقتها، ثم يبرزها إلينا صافية نقيذة، لا أمت فيها ولا شك، قويمة لا عوج فيها ولا إنحراف؛ ويقدّمها لنا - كما هي جوهراً وحقيقة - حركة مباركة هادفة، وقد قامت على منهج، وسارت بخطوات راسخة مدروسة نحو الهدف، محقّقةً ما شاءه لها بطلها ومفجّرها سيّد الشهداء عليه رضوان الله وسلامه، متسلحاً بإيمانه الأصيل، عارفاً طريقه، واضحةً أمامه أهدافه، بيّنة أمامه غاياته، رافعاً أشرف لواء وأسمى راية، لواء الحق والحقيقة والإيمان، وراية الشهادة والعطاء والرضوان.
