وينتقد عبادة العلم الوسائلي وعواقبها، والتكمية والقياس في العلوم النفسية الاجتماعية التربوية. ويبين أهمية الاعتبارات المعيارية الأخلاقية القيمية في البحث النفسي الاجتماعي التربوي بخاصة، كأساس ومحور ومرجع. ويضع نماذج البحث هذه في إطار ما بعد الحداثة، لتبيان مدى ملاءمتها. ويشرح تطور مفاهيم البحث ونماذجه الأساسية، وطبيعة البحوث النوعية.
وجامع القول أن هذه الدراسة تضع بين يدي القارئ المستعلم مراجعة تأويلية نقدية متكاملة لنماذج البحث الإرشادية الكبرى المتعارف عليها، وتنقدها كلها سلباً وإيجاباً. وتخلص إلى الاعتراف بكل معرفة ينتجها كل نموذج في هذه النماذج الإرشادية الأساسية ضمن حدودها المنهجية والمعرفية، وموجباتها الأونطولوجية، وخلفياتها القيمية والفلسفية كما تنتهي هذه الدراسة إلى التساؤل حول مصير العلم والعالم.
وطرح "الدرب الحرج" لمستقبل الإنسانية، وتفنيد القانون الثاني من قوانين الديناميكيات الحرارية، ودراسة الإنسان والطبيعة بأسرها على أساس مبدأ السببية المزدوجة، المتجهة في أحد شقيها، اتجاهاً علمياً جديداً من فوق إلى تحت، أي من الأكبر إلى الأصغر، بواسطة القيم والديناميكيات الذاتية البازغة النازلة، وفي شقها الثاني من تحت إلى فوق، بواسطة العمليات الفيزيائية والكيميائية الصاعدة.
