وهذا ما ينسحب بصورة دقيقة على معادلة "العقل والحرّية" أو "التعقّل والحرّية" كما يُزْمَعُ طرحها وطرقها ومعالجة أبرز تجلّياتها وإستتباعاتها في علاقة بما يجري اليوم من أحداث ومتغيّرات في مجتمعنا العربي وفي العالم ككلّ.
نحن نعرض في واقع الأمر في هذا الكتاب، إلى تشخيص للواقع الإنساني بواسطة عملية تفكيك لبنية العقل وتأصيل لمعنى الحرّية قبل معاينة ملامسة مظاهر الإحراج المرتسمة في علاقة العقل بالحرية: فصلا بينهما حين ينزاح العقل عن مساره ممّا يتسبّب في تصدّع وظيفي للعقل الذي لم يعد مؤشّر للمعرفة والتفكير والتعارف والإنفتاح على الغير، وإنّما أصبح أداة تكنولوجية يخدم الهيمنة الإقتصادية، وأداة إستراتيجية تستعمل في تطوير وسائل الخراب والموت؛ ووصلا لهما حين يصبح توجّه العقل مناقض لمطلب الحرّية من جرّاء ما تقوم به الأنظمة الهووية الآن من طمس الحرّيات التي لا تعترف بها للآخر وللثقافات الأخرى المغايرة.
