"الحديث عن الحرب اليوم يثير الكثير من الإحراجات؛ وهذه الإحراجات لا تقتصر على ظاهرة الحرب في حدّ ذاتها، وإنّما هي مبثوثة داخل القول في الحرب أو ضمن الخطاب الذي موضوعه الحرب.
وحين تهتمّ الفلسفة بمسألة الحرب، فإنّ تفكيرها في هذه الظّاهرة يكون على النّحو الذي يوجب ما ينفيها، لأنّ موضوع خطابها السّلم، فيكون قولها في الحرب مثبتاً لما ينفي الحرب، وسالباً لما يثبتها.
وفي هذا السّياق بالذّات بتنزّل خطاب المفكّر فتحي التريكي أثناء معالجته للحرب من النّاحية الفلسفيّة، فمنذ بداية طرحه، نسجّل تصوّراً لديدن الفيلسوف مرتسماً في ضرب من "اليوتوبيا" التي لا تقصد شيئاً آخر غير سلم دائم يتوقّف تحقيقه على تشخيص أسباب الحرب ودواعي اللّجوء إلى خوض غمارها رغم الإدراك المسبق لمآلاتها السّلبية.
الحديث عن الحرب لا يستقيم دون معاينة الإقتران الوثيق بينها وبين السّياسة، لأنّه ليست الحرب إلاّ "مواصلة للسّياسة بطرائق أُخَر"، أليس هذا الإقتران بالذّات هو الذي يحملنا اليوم على التّفكير في هذا الإستغراق اللاّمقبول للسّياسة في الحرب؟...
هل إنّ فشل السّياسة في تحقيق الإتّفاق وفي ضمان التّوافق هو الذي يؤول ضرورة إلى نشوب الحرب أم إنّ الحرب ليست إلاّ خياراً سياسياً أقصى ليس منه بدّ لإنجاح سياسة ما؟".
