هذه أيضاً واحدة من أروع اللوحات التي رسمتْ صفحات سنوات الدفاع المقدس الثماني المعجزة والمعطاءة، لقد أبدع كلٍّ من الراوي والكاتبة حقاً، إنّ إمتزاج هذه الذكريات بروح الفكاهة وعذوبة البيان التي فاضت بها فريحة الراوي: قد نُظِم في المتن بجودة وإتقان بفضل حرفية ودقة نظر الكاتبة، وأيضاً جرأة الراوي وصراحته في سرد نكات ووقائع عادة ما تبقى مخبوءة في سرد الذكريات، لهي من الخصائص البارزة لهذا الكتاب.
النقصُ الوحيد الذي يظهر فيه هو عدم الإشارة إلى الدور المضحّي لزوجة شَرَت بروحها مرارات وصعوبات حياة مع مقاتل شرس وجريحٍ ومشاغب، وتقبّلت برضى مشاركته حياة قاسية؛ بالطبع حياةً مليئة بالأجر والثواب.
لقد أمضيت ساعات رائعة، مليئةً بالصفاء بين صفحات ومقاطع هذا الكتاب في لحظات ما قبل النوم، والحمد لله.
