لقب الأولاد صديقهم جاسم "بالخواف" لأنه لطالما امتنع عن القفز معهم عبر الساقية؛ ولقد ظل هذا اللقب ملتصقاً به زمناً طويلاً؛ ولكن في عصر أحد الأيام وعندما تقاطر الأولاد ليلعبوا كما في الأيام السابقة، استغربوا أن يكون شخص ما قد سبقهم إلى تسلق أشجارهم. ولما اقتربوا أكثر صاح أحدهم: "إنه جاسم" ولكن كيف استطاع جاسم أن يتخلص من عقدة الخوف التي يشعر بها عندما يقترب من الساقية أو من شجرة عالية وما هو اللقب الذي أطلقه عليه الأطفال بعد أن عبر أمامهم أوسع مكان في الساقية؟ هذا ما سيقرأه الطفل في هذه القصة المصورة.
