مادة هذه الدراسة خطاب الأمين العام لحزب الله سماحة السيد حسن نصر الله الذي أطلقه في المجالس العاشورائية، في مرحلة خصيبة من حياة المقاومة الإسلامية في لبنان، تمتد من العام 1997 وحتى العام 2006, وهي الحقبة التي وقع فيها حدثان كبيران شكلاً منعطفاً مهماً في الحياة السياسية والعسكرية والثقافية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط التي شهدت ولادة المشروع الإسرائيلي العام 1948، وما أعقبه من حروب ومآسي. والحدثان هما: الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من القسم الأوفى من جنوب لبنان والبقاع الغربي، من دون أي قيد أو شرط العام 2000، وصمود المقاومة الإسلامية في مواجهة آلة الحرب الإسرائيلية العملاقة، على مدى ثلاثة وثلاثين يوماً من دون أن تحقق تلك الآلة اختراق ثابت على الأرض في تموز العام 2006. وخطاب في المناسبة العاشورائية، خطاب ذو خصوصية ليست لغيره. فعدا المادة التي توفرها التجربة الكربلائية، فإنها "التجربة" تمثيل لثقافة آل البيت الإسلامية. ويعني ذلك أن الخطاب (الملفوظ) رؤية إلى العالم متصلة بثقافة عاشوراء، رؤية الحسين إلى العالم التي هي فعل إجرائي لثقافة أوسع منها هي رؤية آل البيت من داخل دائرة الثقافة الإسلامية.
ولا تعني خصوصية هذا الخطاب العاشورائية أنه منقطع عما عدا تلك الخصوصية من ثقافة، لأن العين الإسلامية التي ينظر سماحته من خلالها إلى العالم لا يمكنها أن تكون مستقلة عما يمور في عالمنا الحالي من ثقافة راهنة.
وإذا أردنا أن نصنف هذا الخطاب من حيث انتماؤه الوظيفي، فإنه ليس خطاباً دينياً بحثاً، ولا خطاباً سياسياً، ولكنه خطاب أوسع من الأمور الدينية والسياسية معاً.
