Book Description
صاحب هذا الكتاب هو محمد بن يزيد المعروف "بالمبرّد" وإليه انتهى علم العربية. تلقى العلم على علماء عصره فبزّ أقرانه وكان فصيحاً بليغاً مفوهاً ثقة فيما ينقله. والكامل هو أشهر كتبه على الإطلاق، ويعد أهم كتب الأدب في المائة الثالثة للهجرة، قال المبرد إنه ألّفه وجمع فيه "ضروباً من الآداب، ما بين كلام منثور وشعر مرصوف ومثل سائر وموعظة بالغة" وقد عزم على أن يشرح ما وقع فيه من كلام غريب أو معنى مستغلق، وأن يشرح ما فيه من الإعراب شرحاً وافياً. وقد عقد كتابه على أبواب، وإن لم توضع فيه على نسق أو نظام كما لم يستقل أي منها بفن واحد. وقد طبع الكتاب غير مرة إلا أن الجهد الذي بذله المحقق في النسخ التي انتهت إليه قد أفضى إلى تحقيق الكتاب تحقيقاً علمياً متكاملاً. فتتبع أصل رواية نسخة الشيخ أبي حيان رغم أنه لم يلتزمها التزاماً تاماً بل أثبت في المتن من غيرها ما كان أصح وأقوم وأقرب إلى عبارة المبرد. فأثبت فروق النسخ وأفاد من جهود من تقدمه ومن أمهات كتب اللغة العربية والأدب والتفسير والقراءات والأنساب والبلدان ودواوين الشعر وكتب الاختيار.
كما أثبت جميع ما علقه أبو الحسن الأخفش على الكتاب في المتن وميزه بحرف أصغر من حرف نص الكتاب. وقام بتخريج الآيات الكريمة والقراءات التي وردت في بعض الآي، والأحاديث النبوية الشريفة، والآثار والأشعار والأمثال والأخبار، ومقالات العلماء من كتبهم ووضع للكتاب الفهارس الشاملة.
