جاءت أهمية هذه الدراسة والموسومة بــ (اللذة الجمالية في قصائد جوزيف حرب) لتقف على الكثير من القضايا الفنية التي تحقق الإثارة واللذة في بنية قصائده، وفضاءاتها الشعرية كافة، ولا نبالغ في قولنا: يعد جوزف حرب من أكثر شعراء الحداثة في تحريك القصيدة، وإكسابها شعريتها الخلاقة، من حيث حركية الصورة، ودينامية المشهد الشعري، ونمنمة الصور التشكيلية التي تجمع الحسي بالمجرد، والواقعي بالمتخيل، والبديهي بالمصطنع، بإختصار: إننا نجد في قصائد حشداً من اللذات الجمالية، سواء في تشكيل الصورة، ام القوافي الملتفة التي تقف على قرار إيقاعي منسجم محرك لكل مواطن الإثارة واللذة في قصائده، ومن اجل هذا اغتنت قصائده بكم هائل من المثيرات التي تحققها في الشكل النصي، وفي تكوين الجملة الشعرية، وبإيقاعيها (الصوتي - والبصري - واللغوي)، ولا عجب أن ترتقي شعريته في شكلها الإبداعي ومنحاها التصويري بشكلٍ لا يختلف اثنان على المقدرة الفنية البليغة في إصابة مواطن اللذة في قصائده إن لغوياً، أو إيقاعياً، أو رؤيوياً، أو فنياً.
ولهذا، تعد قصائده حصيلة لذات داخل نصية، وحصيلة لذات خارج نصية، من حيث التعالقات النصية البالغة في تفعيل التراث الغنائي والموروث اللبناني من فن الزجل والغنا، ولعل ولع الشاعر جوزف باللغة المحكية قد أقضى على قصائده حركة مموسقة في نمنمة الكلمات، ورصفها على الصفحة الشعرية، لتبدو القصيدة - لديه - بساطاً منمنماً مزركشاً بشتى الألوان، والظلال، والخطوط المتداخلة، لتشكل لوحة فنية متكاملة في نسيجها البنائي العام، وهذا هو مكمن لذتها في كثير من الأحيان.
