في "جوارب زرقاء" تبدو الشاعرة "هياء محمد" وكأنها تحفر في جدران ذاكرتها، وتعيد للواجهة الأمامية لخيالاتها ما غاب من الأمنيات منذ زمن الطفولة، وحتى الشباب.
هي نصوص عددها خمسون حاولت خلالها الشاعرة تجسيد المرأة ككائن منفصل عن الرجل، لا بل أكثر من ذلك أن تجسد كل شيء مؤنث في الحياة فجاءت عباراتها شهية تحمل في طياتها كل الألوان والمذاقات وكل هذا السحر الذي تحمله الكاتبة الأنثى.
في المقطع (18) تقول هياء: "القرب يكشف سوء ضعفي... هناك دائماً مسافة كافية جداً بيني وبين أي كائن، هكذا أستطيع أن ألعب بأوتار القسوة والجمود كيف شئت، لا يهم كم أحب، أبتعد، لا يهم كم أشتاق، أبتعد، لا يهم كم أشعر بالوحدة، أو أهل الإبتعاد، حتى إذا أصبحت حيث أنا الآن انكسرت على مهل!!"...
