ينبغي على كل مسلم الإطلاع على الأحاديث المتعلقة بالطب النبوي، فإنه سيجد فيها أكثر من معجزة تعمق إيمانه بهذا الدين، وبما جاء به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ربه، كما يجب أن يطلع عليها المتخصصون بالطب والعلاج من المسلمين فإنهم لا شك سيجدون فيها الكثير مما ينفع البشرية، هذا وقد اقتضت طبيعة هذا البحث أن ينقسم على مبحث تمهيدي وخمسة أبواب وخاتمة، وقد قدم المبحث التمهيدي على تعريف المرض والطب وأقسامهما ونبذة عن تاريخ تطوره، وعن القضايا الخاصة بالطب النبوي، وعلى مشروعية العلاج وقضايا متعلقة به.
ثم تصدر الكتاب الباب الأول الذي تحدث فيه المؤلف عن حقيقة الإنسان في فصلين أولهما: خلق الإنسان، والثاني قضايا تتعلق بالروح وعلاقتها بالجسد، ثم تلاه الباب الثاني: خصصه المؤلف للحديث عن الطب الوقائي في السنة النبوية وتناول في الباب الثالث: الطب النفسي (الروحي) في السنة النبوية، أما الباب الرابع: وهو الطب البدني (العلاجي) في السنّة النبوية، ثم تقسيمه إلى أربعين مبحثاً، مرتبة على الأحرف الهجائية فتحدث في هذه المباحث عن العلاج (بالإثمد - وبالأراك - وبالأظفار - وبآلية شاة أعرابية - والبردي - والبطيخ - وبول الإبل - والتراب - والتلبينة - والتمر - والحبة السوداء - والحجامة - والحرير - والحلق والحليب - والحناء - والخل - والذريرة - والذهب - والريق - والزعفران - والزيت - والسلق - والسنا - والسنوت - والشعير - والصبر - والعسل - والقثاء - والقسط - والقطن والكافور - والكتم - والكمأة - والكي - والماء - والمسك - والملح - والنبق - والورس).
ثم جاء الباب الخامس: الذي أورد فيه الأحاديث الضعيفة والموضوعة التي ذكرها بعض مَنْ كتب في الطب عامة والطب النبوي خاصة، فجاء الباب الخامس بعنوان - الأخبار غير الثابتة في الطب النبوي.
