هذا الكتاب الذي يتناول المداخل المختلفة لاتخاذ قرارات الاستثمار في الأوراق المالية، وقد تم تخصيص السبعة فصول الأولى للمدخل الأساسي والذي يركز على التحليل من العموميات إلى الخصوصيات، فيبدأ بتحليل ظروف الصناعة بغرض تحديد اتجاهات الصناعات المختلفة واختيار الأكثر ربحية منها، ثم تأتي المرحلة الأخيرة وهى تحليل ظروف المنشأة والتي تركز على وجود فروق كبيرة في الأداء بين المنشآت الفردية داخل الصناعة الواحدة مما يبرر تحليل ظروف المنشآت العاملة في صناعة ما لاختيار افضلها واكثرها ربحية.
ثم وتخصص الكتاب في عرض المدخل الفني والذى يقوم على دراسة الأداء السوقي للأوراق المالية في الماضي كأساس للتنبؤ بالمستقبل ومفهوم التحليل الفني وامتراضاته ومؤشراته وتوضيح المؤشرات التى يمكن أن يستخدمها المستثمر للتنبؤ بحركة السوق ككل ويوضح كذلك للستثمر المؤشرات التى يمكن ان يستخدمها للتنبؤ بحركة أسهم معينة.
