فى عصرنا الراهن ذلك العصر الذى غدافيه العالم كمدينة واحدة واصبح تفاعل الافكار والمعتقدات امرا قسريا وكثرت الالمؤلفات وتناولت دقائق الموضوعات وفصلتها كنا لابد لنا من مسايرة ذلك الواقع والتوقف امام هذه الفرقة وامثالها من الفرق الصغرى فى كل ملة ونحلة كاشفين اللثام عن واقعها وتاريخها ممدين طريق تقييمها وتقويمها من كل منظور صحيح يتحلى بالموضوعية ويهدف الى الحقيقة . ولم نشا الخوض فى التقييم والتقويم فى بحثنا هذا لايماننا بان تقييم فرقة كالمارونية او تقويمها سواء من وجهة النظر الاسلامية او الفلسفية هو فى الحقيقة تقييم او تقويم للديانة النصرائية باكملها وهو امر لا يجليه بحث ولا تكفية دراسة وانما يحتاج الى ما هو اكثر من ذلك بكثير .
