هذا الكتاب بحث فقهي في مناسك الحج، وفيه أفرد المصنف المستحبات عن الواجبات، وهو في الأصل تحقيق لـ "كتاب مناسك الحج" لسماحة الشيخ السيد أبي القاسم الخوئي، حيث يعد من أهم المتون الفقهية التي ذكرت أصول الحج وفروعه، فصار من الكتب التي يكثر البحث فيها وتدارسها في الحوزات العلمية، ولأهميته دأب العلامة السيد "فاضل الشريف" إلى تقريره وترتيبه وتبويبه وتبيان مدارك مسائله، وإيضاح مسالك أدلته وتقديمه للقارئ المسلم تحت عنوان "هذاية الناسك"، فجاء بحلته الجديدة بمثابة كتاب مذاكرة لآيات الكتاب وروايات النبي وعشيرته الأطهار، وتذاكر للعلم النافع والعبادة التي ترضي الرحمن.
من محتويات الكتاب نذكر: وجوب الحج، شرائط وجوب حجَة الإسلام، الوصية بالحج، فضل في النيابة –أي الحج النيابي الواجب وشروطه، الحج المندوب، أقسام العمرة، أقسام الحج، حج التمتع، حج الإفراد، حج القرآن،مواقيت الإحرام، أحكام المواقيت، كيفية الإحرام، تروك الإحرام، كفارات الصيد...إلخ.
