ماذا لو اقترح الناشر على صموئيل بيكيت نهاية شبيهة بما يُباع في أكشاك الصحف في المطارات، من أدب لا يستفز ذكاء القارئ عموماً أو خياله، بل يحكمه بسيناريو يمكن التنبؤ مسبقاً بنهايته منذ أول كلمة من الفصل الأول؟ هل كان غوستاف فلوبير ليقحم مشاهد إيروتيكية في مدام بوفاري لتوضع روايته في قسم البالغين في متجر Fnac، أو كان شارل بوكاوسكي بالنقيض تماماً، ليخفّف من ضراوة الإستخدام المفرط للكحول والجنس في الأدب وسط مجتمع يذهب إلى حروبه بطهرانية الخير مقابل الشر، وعولمة تصل صواريخها إلى بيوتنا في العراق وسوريا واليمن وأفغانستان قبل أن تصلنا كتبها عبر أمازون؟.
هذه أول ترجمة عربية لكتاب ريكاردو بوزي، مزيَّنة برسوم بديعة من الفنانّين جيانكارلو اسكاري وبيا فلنتينيس.
