الحمد لله تعإلى الذي خلق الإنسان، وغرس فيه أن يكون كائناً اجتماعياً لا يطيب له العيش إلا في إطار جماعة، وفطره على أن يستطيع التفاعل مع هذه الجماعة ويؤثر فيها وتؤثر فيه، وجعل شخصية الإنسان ينبني جلها على الكسب الذي يتحقق من خلال التعامل الذي يقوم بين الإنسان وأخيه الإنسان، ونحمده على أن جعل في دواخلنا عقلاً يميز بين الخير والشر، والخبيث والطيب، والتي هي تشكل عموميات يلتقي حولها كل البشر مع اختلاف مفاهيمهم عنها، وهذه العموميات الفطرية أو البديهية هي ما يجعل للمجتمع كيانًا، ويضع له كينونة، والصلاة والسلام على خير هذه البشرية، سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، الذي وقف بأمته على قمة الحضارة الإنسانية.
وبعد:
إننا في هذا الكتاب المنهجي سوف نقوم بعرض بعض الجوانب من علم الاجتماع العام من خلال انتقاء بعض الموضوعات من فروعه المختلفة، بغرض تقديم دراسة مكثفة ومختصرة عن بعض أهم جوانب هذا العلم ، وان نلتزم جانب أن المعلومة التي نقدمها كافية بحيث لا يكون هنالك بعض الغموض فيها أو أن تكون منتقصة.
وسوف نبدأ بدراسة تعريفية لعلم الاجتماع وتاريخ الفكر الاجتماعي وبعض المفاهيم المهمة لفهم ما يأتي، في الموضوعين الأول والثاني،علاوة على علاقة علم الاجتماع ببعض العلوم الاجتماعة الأُخرى، ومن ثم نأخذ نماذج متخصصة في المواضيع التالية من بعض فروع علم الاجتماع، مثل علم الاجتماع العائلي، وفي الموضوع الذي يليه سوف ندرس موضوعات مثل التفاعل الاجتماعي والجماعات والتنظيمات إضافة للتغير الاجتماعي، وأخير دراسة السلوك الجمعي والانحراف والضبط الاجتماعي، ودراسة أسس المشكلات الاجتماعية.
