Book Description
شعر العجم هو تاريخ للشعر الفارسى بشكل خاص ، ومرآة للأدب الفارسى بشكل عام يقع فى خمسة مجلدات ، وقد بدأ شلبى فى تأليفه العالم 1906م ، بعد أن انتهى من تأليف "موازنة آينس وديبر". ونشر المجلد الأول فى العام 1908م ، والثانى فى العام 1909م ، والثالث فى العام 1910م ، والرابع 1912م ، أما المجلد الخامس فلم يكتمل ، فظهر بعد وفاته 1918م.
و"شعر العجم" فى مجمله مقسم إلى ثلاثة أدوار هي : القدماء والمتوسطون والمتأخرون ، فيبدأ الدور الأول من حنظلة الباذغيسي وينتهي بنظامي ، ويبدأ الدور الثاني من كمال إسماعيل حتي جامي ، بينما يبدأ الدور الثالث والأخير بفغاني وينتهي بأبي طالب كليم ، والذي صار الشعر بعده عبارة عن ألغاز وأحاج ، والجزء الرابع خصصه شبلي النعماني لبحث عام في الشعر ويعد هذا الجزء هو روح الكتاب.
حرص شبلي في مقدمة الجزء الأول على ذكر المراجع والمصادر التى رجع إليها في تأليف هذا الكتاب . وتعرض إلى ماهية الشعر واهتمام أوروبا باللغة الفارسية ، وقد قام فخر داعى بترجمة "شعر العجم" إلى اللغة الفارسية ، وهو من المصادر المهمة في دراسة الأدب الفارسي استفاد منه جميع دارسي الأدب الفارسي ،وخاصىة المستشرقين . وهذه هي الترجمة العربية الأولي لهذه الموسوعة.
