يعتبر هذا الكتاب -اليواقيت والجواهر في بيان عقائد الأكابر-من أهم ما كتبه الشيخ "عبد الوهاب بن علي الشعراني المصري الحنفي" إذ ألفه في العقائد وحاول فيه المطابقة بين عقائد أهل الكشف وعقائد أهل الفكر، والنظر، لم يسبقه إليه أحد وهذا ما طرح به بنفسه فجاء هذا الكتاب مطابقاً لعنوانه وعنوانه مطابق لمضمونه. حتى قال فيه العلماء: لا يقدح في معاني هذا الكتاب إلا معاند مرتاب أو جاحد كذاب. وقد قسمه إلى جزأين الأول ذكر فيه كل ما يتعلق بالوجدانية وقسمه إلى مقدمة وأربعة فصول ذكر فيها ما قيل وما قال الشيخ "ابن عرابي".
وثم تكلم عن علم الكلام وقسمه إلى ثلاثين مبحثاً. والثاني من البحث الحادي والثلاثون إلى المبحث الحادي والسبعون. ذكر فيه كل ما يتعلق بالنبوة وتوابعها. وبعد هذا كله نستطيع أن نقول هذا كتاب من المراجع الأساسية في بيان العقيدة الإسلامية-فيغني عن مجلدات كبيرة يعرفك على ما كتبه وما كشف عنه الشيخ الأكبر ابن عربي في مجال العقيدة وأمر الآخرة.
وبالنظر للأهمية التي يحتلها هذا الكتاب فقد اعتنى بتحقيقه وإخراجه بحلة جدية، وبالتالي تم الاهتمام بـ:أولاً تخريج الآيات من المصحف الشريف مع ضبطها، ثانياً: تزيج الأحاديث النبوية، ثالثاً: شرح الكلمات الصعبة، والترجمة لبعض الأسماء المذكورة في المتن، رابعاً: مقابلة هذه الصيغة على نسخة متعددة، مع إثبات لفروق في الحاشية.
