يكشف الجزء الأخير من ثلاثية "الجامحة" ألليجيانت أو "الوَفيَّة" للكاتبة الأميركية فيرونيكا روث، أسرار عالم البؤس البشري الذي أسر ملايين القراء عبر روايتي "دايفرجنت"، و"انسورجنت" والتي تحولت إلى أفلام سينمائية حطمت مبيعاتها الأرقام القياسية.
في هذه الرواية سيكشف الستار عن أسرار "الجامحة" و"جماعة المعرفة" و"الأسلاف" وأشباح آدمية "ربما عاشت قبل عدة أجيال، أي أنها من الأسلاف"، "الأسلاف"، لقد بدت الكلمة قديمة لـ "كارا"، مثل سطح متهاوٍ من القرميد، وعلى الرغم من وجودها في زنزانة، كانت مُدركة أن جماعة الأسلاف تركت لها إرثاً: "التحرر من الجماعات، ومعرفة أنّ هويتي كجامحة هي أكثر ممّا كنت أظنّ. فوجودي هو دليل على أننا نحتاج إلى ترك هذه المدينة، وتقديم المساعدة لمن هم موجودون خارجها...". هي رواية تقول لقارئها "جميعنا معرضون للألم في هذه الحياة، ولا يمكننا تجنّبه"، وتعلمه شيئاً آخر: الشفاء ممكن، إذ يداوي بعضنا بعضاً؛ وكما أوردت صحيفة لوس أنجلوس تايمز عن الجزء الأخير من هذه الثلاثية "نهاية مفاجئة أكثر جرأة وأقل توقعاً مما أوحى بهما الجزءان الأولان".
بدأت فيرونيكا روث بكتابة ثلاثية "الجامحة" وهي ما تزال طالبة جامعية في جامعة نورث وسترن. وهي الآن كاتبة متفرغة. السيدة روث وزوجها يسمّيان شيكاغو بيتهما. بيع من ثلاثية "الجامحة" أكثر من 31.1 مليون نسخة في أنحاء العالم، وهي العمل الروائي – الأكثر مبيعاً على لائحة نيويورك تايمز - ويجري العمل حالياً على تحويلها إلى فيلم سينمائي من جزءين يصدر الجزء الأول في بداية العام 2016.
