تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب من كونه يبدأ بطروحاته منذ قصة الخلق وحياة الإنسان على الأرض، لأنها الأساس الأول في كل العقائد الإنسانية التي نشأت في هذا الفضاء الكوني الواسع فمؤلفه لا يكتفي بعقيدته فقط، بل يجول على كل العقائد والأديان التي عرفتها البشرية منذ القدم مثل: عقيدة الهندوس، العقيدة البوذية، عقيدة الجانتية، المصلحون الدينيون، عقيدة الكونفوشيوية في "الصين واليابان"، عقيدة الشنتو، الديانة اليهودية، الديانة المسيحية إلى آخر ذلك من طقوس ومذاهب. ولا ينسى المؤلف العلمانيون ورأيهم، وحتى السحرة والمبصرين والمنجمين وألاعيبهم .. وهذا ما يؤكده الكاتب في معرض تقديمه لهذا العمل إذ يقول: ".. وقد غصت في العقائد والديانات قبل التوحيد وبعده، وصولا إلى الفرق ونزاعاتها، وصولاً إلى الخرافات والهوامات، التي يلجأ إليها بعض الحكام والشعوب، كعلاجات لأزماتهم المكبوتة، مع قراءات حرة مجردة من أي التزام أو إرتباط..".
