تدور مباحث هذا الكتاب حول علم الإناسة البنيانية. والإناسة علم يولي انتباهاً شديداً للأشكال الفكرية المسماة، أشكالاً خرافية، لأنه ومن خلال جوهر الأساطير يمكن استحضار الماضي المنسي وتطبيقه كالشبكة على بعد الحاضر لاستخراج معنى يتطابق فيه الوجهان التاريخي والبنياني اللذان يفرضان على الإنسان واقعه المخصوص.
وقد جاءت المباحث على الشكل التالي: المبحث الأول، آفاق الرؤية، ذلك المبحث جاء في فصول خمسة تحدث فيها المؤلف حول حق النياسة وعن جان جاك روسو مؤسس علوم الإنسان ومن ثم تحدث حول ما تدين به النياسة لدركهايم وعن مكتب النياسة الأميركية ودرسه وعن الديانات المقارنة بين الشعوب التي لم تعرف الكتابة.
وتناول المبحث الثاني من خلال فصليه معنى المقولة النموذج وأوجه استعمالها وخواطر حول ذرة القرابة. وكانت فصول المبحث الثالث حول البنية والشكل على ضوء قراءة في كتاب لفلاديمير بروب، وتغريبه أسربوال، وأربع أساطير وينيباغيّه وجنس الكواكب، والفطريات في الثقافة حول كتاب "لواسون"، وعلاقات التناظر بين الطقوس والأساطير لدى الشعوب المتجاورة، وكيف تحدث الأساطير. ويتضمن المبحث الرابع أجوبة على تحقيقات، ومعايير علمية في فروع المعرفة المجتمعية والإنسانية، والتقطع الثقافي والنمو الاقتصادي والمجتمعي وأخيراً العرق والتاريخ.
