الواقع أن المشكل يكمن في فهمك للهوية. فهل هي بالضرورة مغلقة ومنتهية أم هي وجودي في هذا العالم، وهل يحتاج الانسان فعلا إلى هوية، أم إلى أكثر من هوية؟ وأنت تعرف أن فهمك المرضي للهوية لا ينتشر إلى في سياق التخلف، وأنه يبدأ فكرة ويتحول إلى عقيدة، لينتهي إلى مذبحة. فأنت مشارك للجلاد العربي في قمعه للشعوب ومشترك معه في الجريمة وأنت من بايعه على الطاعة العمياء، فالهوية العمياء طاعة عمياء. وأراك حين تفكر في الدين، تريده دينا وسيفا مسلطا على الرقاب في آن، وفي أحيان أخرى أراك تأنف منه، وتحقد عليه وتلصق به كل تهم التخلف والظلم، كما لو أن الدين رجل أو حاكم أو نظام، فهل كان كانط سطحيا لما خرج يعدو في شوارع كونيغسبرغ حين وصلها إعلان حقوق الإنسان من باريس الثورة؟ وهل كان هيغل واهما لما رفع قبعته تحية لروح العالم؟! أراك تردد بأنه لا ديمقراطية مع الأمية، كما لو أن الديمقراطية خلقت للأسياد فقط، وكما لو أنه يمكننا محاربة الأمية دون ديمقراطية وكما لو أن الناس الذين خرجوا يهتفون بسقوط الطاغوت، لا يستحقون الحرية. أسمع اللحظة كلمات غوته، كما لو أنه كتبها في حقك، كما لو أنه كتبها لنا:"مت وكن" أو مت لنكون!
