(روضة الكافي) هو الجزء الثامن والأخير من كتاب (أصول الكافي) والذي هو أول كتاب روائي شامل لدى الشيعة في جمع الأحاديث من أصولها الأولية ونظمها في موضوعات. وهو أيضاً من الكتب التي اعتمدت على علم الرجال –وهو علم يبحث في صحة السند في إختيار المرويات عن النبي محمد والأئمة الإثنا عشر. ما يميز هذا الكتاب هو أنه أحد الكتب الأربعة للشيعة وأكثرها اعتماداً بعد القرآن الكريم وأن مؤلفه الكليني عاش في عصر النواب الخاصين لإمام الزمان، وكتب الكتاب في زمن الغيبة الصغرى. وهذا ما جعل الكتاب من المؤلفات الفريدة بين المجاميع الروائية الشيعية. ومن الرسائل والأحاديث التي يضمها الكتاب نذكر: رسالة ابي عبد الله عليه السلام إلى جماعة الشيعة، صحيفة علي بن الحسين عليه السلام وكلامه في الزهد، خطبة الطالوتية للإمام علي، حديث موسى عليه السلام وما خاطبه الله عز وجل به، علامات آخر الزمان أو أشراط الساعة، حديث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حين عرضت عليه الخيل، الرؤيا ثلاثة وجوه، ... إلى آخر ذلك من أحاديث وتفسير لأكثر من آية في القرآن الكريم للإمام الكليني.
