الكتابة جسد، والقراءة شهوة، وهما بسبب ما فيهما من فحولة، يتبادلان الأدوار، فما كان قراءة، قد يُصبح كتابة، أي جسداً مُفترعَاً، وما كان كتابة، قد يُصبح قراءة، أي شهوة مُفترِعَة، وما لم يحدث هذا، فسيكفان عن التوالد، والتناسل، والتكاثر، والحضور، وإذ ذاك سيفتحان باب الزوال والعدم، ثم، إذ هما يتبادلان الأدوار، فإنهما يمارسان، الواحد في الآخر، كل الأنواع الملاطفة، والإغراء، والإغواء بُغية الإخصاب، ولحظتها تقوم القراءة بتذوُق عُسَيْلةَ الكتابة، كما تقوم الكتابة بتذُوق عُسَيْلة القراءة.
نريد أن نقدِّم، في هذا التمهيد الموجز، وجهات نظر، ليست هي الوحيدة قطعاً، ولكن نراها إن وسعت وعممت، فقد ترقى إلى مراتب الأطروحات النظرية.
والغاية من طرحها أننا نريدها أن تكون مفتَتحاً لتعدُّدية، تستدعي نظريات مختلفة، منسجمة وغير منسجمة، متآلفة وغير متآلفة، ولكنها تشترك كلها في سبر هذا النشاط الإنساني الهائل، ونعني به، القراءة والكتابة.
