في هذا الديوان يكتب الشاعر "فيصل أكرم" حباً، ويقرأ في مرآته حُبُّ .. بالحب يفتتح ديوانه ويقول: " لم أكتب الحب يوماً، ولم يقرأ على مرآتي الحب .. ولكنها، هي نفسها المرآة تتمثل في كل فراغ أصطدم به عائداً من مشوار لم يصل بي إلى أي مكان، كأنما كل الأماكن يستحيل الوصول إليها (...) لم يتغير شيء منذ (خروجٍ من المرآة) مروراً بـ (نصف كتابةٍ) وحتى (الكون والعدم) لم يتغير شيء سوى القلم".
هكذا هو فيصل أكرم لا حياة لشعره خارج الثنائيات المتضادة، هي قصائد تغوص بعمق في مرآة الداخل، وكتابة لا تشبه إلا نفسها من حيث التركيب والتبويب ورشاقة السرد وشاعرية اللغة، نتلمس حين قراءتها تلك المتعة الممزوجة بالمرارة عبر خيوط المشهد الرومانسي.
في قصيدة بعنوان (توقيع) يقول: "لذاكرةٍ مسها العفو/ قلت: انتهى حزني الآن/ عفواً ../ فقال لي الحزن: لم أنته ..!/ فللحزن ميعاده في الثواني/ وفي كبريات المعاني ... المعاني/ وفي دقة القلب تحت الضلوعْ/ فعفواً مشيتَ،/ وللعفو عفو، (...) لا تنسَ/ نيسانَ/ أن حياةَ الحياةِ: (قف نبكيان)".
