إن التشابه بين عملية الإبداع الشعري، وحالة المخاض تشابه كبير، وفي ضوء هذا التشابه، يمكن تطوير هذه الفكرة بالقول: إن الناقد لا يستطيع معرفة "الهيجان" الداخلي للشاعر في أثناء عملية الكتابة، بقراءته للقصيدة فقط، كما أن الطبيب لا يمكنه معرفة ما يحدث في حالة المخاض من مشاعر وآلام من فحصه للجنين. إنهما مضطران، الشاعر والطبيب إلى مساءلة الشاعر أو الأم. ومن هنا يمكن القول أن كلام الشاعر عن تجربته أهم بكثير، إذا كنا نطمح إلى صياغة نظرية للشعر. لأننا بهذه العملية ننطلق من التجربة الحية، وليس من التأملات النظرية. و لا شك في أن التجربة الحية، وليس من التأملات النظرية. ولا شك في أن التجربة توفر احتمالات النجاح أكثر مما يوفرا التأمل النظري المجرد. إن أغلب الدراسات التي اهتمت بنظرية الشعر في ضوء التأمل النظرية المجرد، وبخاصة في العملية الإبداعية، لا تصل إلى التحديد المطلوب، فتظل كمن يفرض قانوناً خارجياً، ويحاول أن يجد استجابة في الواقع الشعري، بدل استنباط قانون من هذا الواقع مباشرة. إن مثل هذه الدراسات لا ترى سوى الجزء الظاهر من جبل الثلج.
ليست هذه الملاحظة حديثة الوضع، لقد تحدث القدامى من شعراء العربية عن أن الشعر لا يفهمه إلا من يعاني آلام إبداعه، ويكابد متاعب كتابته.
وهذا الكتاب: أسئلة الشعرية، يبحث في بعض المفاهيم الأساسية لنظرية الشعر، انطلاقاً من كتابات الشعراء النثرية وأحاديثهم التي سعوا فيها إلى بلورة مفاهيم حول قضايا الشعر. وقد اخترنا أن تكون مادتنا هي كتابات الشعراء، لعلنا، بهذا، نضيف شيئاً إلى الدراسات التي اتخذت متونها من مقالات النقاد والفلاسفة والمفكرين وعلماء النفس والجمال.
