النعمان بن مقرن بطل من أبطال الإسلام، مجاهد سطر تاريخ الفتوحات الإسلامية جهاده واقترن اسمه بمعركة نهاوند والتي سميت بحق فتح الفتوح حيث انتص العدل على الظلم وفتحت فارس في عهد أمير المؤمنين وخليفة رسول الله سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب ومنذ هذا الفتح وبلاد فارس تسمو وتفخر بالإسلام والفضل كل الفضل لابطال الإسلام المجاهدين والذين نعتز بذكرهم ومنهم بطلنا المجاهد النعمان بن مقرن رضى الله عنه وارضاه.
لا غرو أن النعمان بن مقرن "رضى الله عنه" صوت من أصوات الحق والبطولة العصية، نظر إلى جوهر العقيدة فرآها أمانة ورسالة، لابد من تبليغها!.. ومن وحيها حطم المعادلة الصعبة، او المستحيلة آنذاك، يوم خاض معركة تحاكي شراستها (معركة القادسية) إن لم تفقها!!.. نهاوند المعركة التى وصفت ضراوتها المصادر أنه لم يسمع السامعون بوقعة قط كانت أشد قتالاً منها ، إنما هي تمثيل حي لروح الإسلام وفلسفته، فلا سلاح مهما بلغت قوته يمكن أن يقهر سلاح الإيمان إن تمكن قلب المسلم!.
معركة نهاوند.. مثلت الفرس وهم قطبا العالم يومها: والمسلمون الذين لا يملكون أمام جبروتهم سوى سيف وقبل مؤمن بعدالة قضيتهم، استطاعوا أن يقفزوا قفزتهم. النوعية لفتح معبر مهد لنشر الإسلام- فيما بعد شرقاٌ حتى حدود الصينوروسيا، فكانت بحق (فتح الفتوح)!.
