وتقول الكاتبة نوال مصطفي رئيس تحرير "كتاب اليوم" إن هذا الكتاب تتكامل فيه الكلمة مع الصورة، إذ تقدم الكاتبة حنان أبو الضياء وصفات شهية، وتساعدها الفنانة الموهوبة رحاب عبد السلام العمري في إخراج مبتكر وصور مصاحبة مناسبة لكل أكلة وكل قائمة طعام.
وتسير حنان أبو الضياء بالقراء يومًا بيوم مع كل إفطار وسحور، الأكلات الرئيسية والجانبية من لحوم بالإضافة إلي أنواع مختلفة من الشوربة المفيدة في رمضان، كما لم تنس أيضًا قائمة الحلويات خاصة الشرقية التي تزخر بها موائدنا في الشهر الكريم.
وتضيف نوال مصطفي: "بهذا يكون الكتاب هو المرجع والدليل اليومي لكل ربة بيت، فبعد مرور الأيام الأولي من الشهر الكريم يبدأ مشوار شاق آخر وهو سؤال الأسرة المصرية الثابت: ماذا سنأكل اليوم؟ لتكون حيرة كبيرة تنتهي إلى لا شيء سوي أكلات مكررة، وهو الجانب الذي تعاملت معه حنان أبو الضياء بمنتهي الذكاء، حيث قدمت العديد من الأكلات الجديدة التي قد تفك شفرة الرتابة والملل، إذ ابتكرت أطباقًا من المائدة العربية والفرنسية والإسبانية والألمانية مع إعطائها النكهة المصرية في التوابل والمكونات".
