رغم أن الشعر الشعبي لم يمض زمان طويل على دخوله ميدان خدمة المنبر الحسيني الشريف إلا أن سعة رقعة المجالس الحسينية وتهافت آلاف المبدعين من خدمة هذا المنبر على التشرف بهذه الخدمة الشريفة، رفد المكتبة بآلاف الدواوين الشعرية والقصائد الرائعة التي جاشت بها القرائح الفياضة، وكانت المدارس الشعرية المختلفة في أساليبها والمتنوعة في عطاءاتها.
ويبقى جابر جليل الكاظمي، صاحب هذا الديوان، المتمرد على أساليب من سلف والفاتح لأبواب التنافس الأدبي الإبداعي لمن خلف علامة فارقة ومدروسة مميزة من مدارس الأدب الحسيني الخلاق، وتشهد على ذلك قصائده التي ضمّها هذا الديوان، والتي تنوعت أغراضها في مدح النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وآله وفي بيان محبته وولائه لهم. إلى جانب ذلك امتازت قصائد جابر الكاظمي بصدق العاطفة وبالبراعة في اختيار العبارات السهلة لإيصال المعنى ضمن موسيقى شعرية تشدو لها النفوس وتسعد بها القلوب. وذلك كله بأسلوب عفوي يفصح عن تعلق النفس بحب النبي صلى الله عليه وبآله رضي الله عنهم أجمعين.
