هل تعلمون لأيّ ربٍّ تتلون صلواتِكم؟ وإلي أيّ إلهٍ قبلتكم؟ ترجون شفاعة خالقٍ لا تروْن له أثرًا، فنبتتْ كلمات من اليقين بداخلكم بأنّ مروج الجنة ليست نصيبًا لكم, إلّا إنّكم عبدتم إلهًا آخرَ، هل لنا أن نعبدَ إلهًا يتحكّم في مصائر أبنائنا؟ ومَن قال إنّ الله لا يفعل؟! لربّما خبرنا بعضًا مِن تخلّيه عنّا, أو لنقل: شيئًا مِن ابتعاده عن عالمنا لنكون فريسةً لغوائل لا تُحتمل. هكذا حتى كان الإله المرْجو خيرُه, والذي أنبت بداخل الأرْحام أنسالًا مِن لدنه، فصار على الأجداد أنْ يبدّلوا طاعتهم, ويوجّهوا قبلتهم تجاهه, وأضحى الأبناءُ في حلٍّ من اتّباع دين آبائهم, حتّى كان صراع إلهي بين القدير والأقدر, فعبد النّساك مَن استطاع من أمره نصرًا حتّى كانت نهاية حتمية, فالبشر في الأغلب الأعمّ من الأحيان لا يعبدون سوى مَن بيده أنْ يُبقي نفسه إلهًا عليهم, أو هكذا يخيّل لهم دومًا منذ أنْ عصوا حتّى يفنوا.
