إن هذا النص بالغ الأهمية، إنه واحد من أهم مصادر الفلسفة الماركسية، بل أعلاها.
في وقت كانت فيه الماركسية الأرثوذكسية (بليخانوف، كلوتسكي، إلخ) تعاني من نقص فادح في الديالكتيك، وفي لحظة الإنهيار الكبير لأوروبا وأحزابها العمالية والعالم 1914 وإحتدام وتجدد وتغيّر التناقضات، أكب لينين على هيغل والديالكتيك.
إن الطريق الذي قاد إلى أوكتوبر الروسي مرّ بــ"المنطق الكبير" لهيغل، في مجادلات لينين اللاحقة مع "الماركسية اليسارية"، مع روزا لوكسمبورغ، مع بوخارين، مع بيتاكوف، حول المسألة القومية، حول الإمبريالية، حول الرأسمالية، تحتلّ الديالكتيك (أي الفلسفة) مكاناً بارزاً، الذي يقود إلى أوكتوبر هو طريق تفاوت النمو، تأكيد المسألة القومية، تأكيد "عالمية" الرأسمالية، التمسك بــ"النهايات الصغرى"، الصرامة المطلقة والمرونة المطلقة، الحسم.
طبيعي إذن أن تنقل ديالكتيك هيغل - لينين في لحظة الإنهيار التاريخي العربي هذه.
ولقد مهد المترجم، لفهم النص فهماً جيداً، بمقدمة طويلة تتناول مسألة المصطلحات وقضايا الفلسفة، وتعرِّف القارئ، بأهم الفلاسفة ولا سيما أولئك الذي يتناولهم نص هيغل ولينين.
