في عرفي، أنَّه ما زلنا في هذا البلد منقسمين شيعاً وفرقاً على أساس الدين لا يمكننا أن نطمح بكيان قومي صحيح موحّد... إنَّ الكيان الطائفي أصبح اليوم كياناً إجتماعياً وعنصريّاً ربّما يصعب تهديمه بسرعة، ولكن لا شيء يمنعنا، ففي السعي لإزالة طابع الطائفية تدريجيّاً، علينا أوّلاً إلغاء الطائفية من مناصب الدولة الإدارية فيؤخذ الموظّفون على أساس الأهلية لا على أساس المحسوبية والطائفية... ثمَّ نسعى لإلغاء الطائفية من مناصب الدولة السياسية، كرئاسة المجلس النيابي ورئاسة مجلس الوزراء... وثمَّ نلغي الطائفية في تشكيل المجلس النيابي نفسه.
إنَّ إلغاء الطائفية هو خطوة خطيرة في سبيل توطيد إستقلال لبنان وكيانه، وآمل أن تتقدّم الحكومة بمشروع في هذا المعنى عن قريب.
أمَّا قضيّة الثقة: فإنَّنا رأينا نظراً لتشكيل الحكومة الحالية من بعض أعضاء حياديين ونظراً لوعود الحكومة بوضع حدّ للسياسة الداخلية التي تمشّت عليها الوزارة السابقة وإستبدالها بسياسة قوميّة وإنشائية جديدة، في قالبها وروحها، وتشجيعاً منّا للحكومة الحالية للمضي بالإصلاح الداخلي وتثبيتاً لِما عرف عنّا من التجرّد، إذ ليس لأحدنا أيّ مطمع شخصي أو أهداف صغيرة وإنَّنا نعتبر المصلحة العامّة فوق كلّ شيء، فإنَّنا سَنُمْهِل الحكومة الجديدة لدورة تشرين، مرحّبين بالوجوه الجديدة التي تطلّ بها هذه الوزارة على البلاد.
