بأسلوب شعري يتسم بالسهولة والإمتناع، تجيد "لطيفة قاري" الولوج إلى الموضوع المراد معالجته بسهولة تتكىء فيها على درايتها بمفهوم الشعر، وما يراد من رؤية تنسجم مع مكونات الفن الشعري.
هذا التقديم يجد ترجمة له في قصيدة "مقاطع من ليل طويل وعادي" خطتها الشاعرة في ديوانها" تكابد لبلابها والأسماء لا تكفي لعصفورين": وهي تقول:" لا أدري ما معنى ما كتبت/ ليس لأنني أهذي/ ولا لأنني أعشق/ ولا لأنني ثملةٍ بشيء ما يتخافت في سري/ كل الحكاية أن المعنى أكبر من قدرتي على النظم". وفي ذلك اعتراف من شاعرتنا على عصيان المعنى عن الإنقياد لرغبة الشاعر في كثير من الأحيان، فكثير من الرؤيا، وكثير من الصور تعمل في باطنها إمكانات متعددة للتأويل، ما يستعدي في المقابل جهداً في القراءة وهذه سمة الشعراء المبدعين.
وفي هذا الديوان جمعت لطيفة قاري قصائد سبق أن نشرت في كثير من الصحف والمجلات المحلية إضافة إلى قصائد أخرى حديثة نذكر من عناوينها: إستسلام، الخميس، قراءة في كتاب الفجر، صديقي الذي، قصيدة حب عربية، شناشيل بغداد ...الخ.
