بحوث القرآن الكريم أكثر من أن تعدّ ، غير أنها في تنوّعها وتعدّد مناهجها وطرق دراستها ، وفي هذا الكتاب تناول الدكتور " عطية نايف عبد الله الغول " دراسة النظرية البلاغية عند الزمخشري في ( الكشاف ) الذي يعدّ من أبرز الآثار التي أفرزها القرن السادس الهجري ، والذي كان ثمرة جهودٍ كثيرةٍ أينعت في بيئاتٍ شتى في مجال الدراسات اللغوية والنحوية والبلاغية .
في ضوء ما سبق درس المؤلف " النظرية البلاغية عند الزمخشري " بالإستناد إلى كتابه الكشاف الذي هو خلاصة أفكاره وآرائه وعصارة ذهنه التي حرص الزمخشري أن يودعها في تفسير الكتاب ، متبعاً أي - المؤلف - نهجاً تاريخياً تحليلياً تتبعياً ، ليقينه أن التتبع والإستقصاء يرد الفروع إلى أصولها والآراء إلى أصحابها . ولهذا بدأ بدراسة " نظرية المعنى عند الزمخشري " التي تضم " أحوال أجزاء الجملة " ، " أحوال الجمل " ، "الخبر والإنشاء " ، " خروج الكلام إلى مقتضى الظاهر " ، و " البنية النحوية للبلاغة " . ثم انتقل لدراسة " نظرية البيان عند الزمخشري " وما تنطوي تحته من موضوعات كالتشبيه في صوره وأركانه وأغراضه والخصائص الفنية لتشبيهات القرآن ، والحقيقة والمجاز ، والإستعارة والكناية والتعريض . وتابع المؤلف في عرض " نظرية البديع عند الزمخشري " حيث عالج الأصباغ البديعية التي ورد ذكرها في الكشاف بمنهج لغوي تحليلي ، جليّ من خلاله موقف الزمخشري من خلال النماذج القرآنية . كما درس المؤلف أن عدد العلماء والنحاة والأدباء ورجالات المذاهب المختلفة ، من معتزلة وسنّة وأشاعرة .
