"هيثم نافل والي"؛ في مجموعته القصصية؛ تجده في الأزقة شحاذًا، كما هو في قاعات الدرس مُدرِّسًا، أو بين أَسرَّة المرضى طبيبًا، وقد تجده في ساحات الوغى جنديًّا مقاتلاً، يتقمص شخصيات قصصه وحكاياته؛ فيتوحد معها، وفي خياله يجتر أحداثها، فيستنفر كل ما بجعبته من أدوات القاص من نسج للخيال، وربط الأحداث بحبكة ترتب الانسجام مع فاعليها من الشخصيات، في زمن يراه مناسبًا فيقدره لتغطية تلك الأحداث، ويستعين برصيده من اللغة العربية إذ شمَّر عن ساعديه؛ لينهل منها ما يعينه على التعبير عمَّا يريد إيصاله للمتلقي من أفكار، اختار المؤلف القصير من القصص، والوجبات السريعة الساخنة من الحكايات؛ لأنه يدرك أنَّ القارئ في هذا العصر، لا يملك وقتًا فائضًا كي يضيعه في متابعة التفاصيل أو الكلام الطويل، فالتقط من الأفكار ما يناسب الموضع، واختار شخصياته وأحداثها من الواقع الذي لا يبحث عنه القارئ خارج الأسوار، بل يجده مُحاطًا به أنى تلفت أو أقام.. مبتعدًا عن التعقيد اللفظي أو المعنوي، فمال إلى البساطة في التعبير، ولم يهمل ما اصطاده من عذب اللفظ وجميل العبارات.
