هذه الدراسة تعمد على نقد وظيفة الأدب الصهيوني وكيفية تحوله إلى التحريض وتبني الإتجاهات الصهيونية التي انتهت في منتصف القرن الماضي إلى إنشاء الكيان الصهيوني المغتصب لفلسطين، ولتوضيح تلك المناهج والإتجاهات التي اتجه إليها الأدب الصهيوني علينا أن نتذكر، أو نذكر ما قاله الدكتور إبراهيم البحراوي في كتابه (الأدب الصهيوني بين حربين) حيث يذكر البحراوي (كيف أن أجهزة المخابرات الأمريكية كانت في حالة من الغفلة التامة عن دراسة المجتمع الياباني قبل الحرب، وما أن فاجأتها اليابان بدخول الحرب حتى شعرت أجهزة المخابرات بشدة حاجتها إلى المعلومات المتعلقة بالشخصية المحاربة، وبحاجتها الماسة إلى التعرف على قوانين الترابط الإجتماعي في المجتمع الياباني بقصد تغيير أنماط السلوك العام أثناء الحرب وتحدي الثغرات التي يمكن عن طريقها النيل من حقيقة التماسك النفسي والإجتماعي في المجتمع الياباني.
وهكذا عهدت إلى عدد من الأساتذة الأدب الياباني العاملين في الجامعات الأمريكية، مهمة دراسة الواقع الإجتماعي والنموذج النفسي عبر التحليل الإجتماعي للأعمال الأدبية اليابانية، لإستحالة الوصول إلى الفرد الياباني مباشرة بسبب الحرب.
