فتح انتصار الثورة التونسية فصولاً كثيرة متنوعة: التغيير السلمي بسواعد الشعب؛ التغيير العنيف بسواعد المسلّحين والأجانب؛ السَّطْوُ الحزبي على عَرَقِ الثوّار الشباب؛ الجدل الاستقطابي الحاد حول أساسات النظام السياسي؛ الحركية المتزايدة في أوساط الشباب العربي؛ اشتداد الضغط الشعبي على الاستبداد والفساد والتهميش؛ وتنامي مطالب الحرية والديمقراطية والعدالة الاجتماعية؛ تنطّع أنظمة دكتاتورية متخلّفة للمطالبة بالديمقراطية في بلاد غيرها، لا في بلادها؛ التدخل الغربي السافر في هندسة الحروب الأهلية في أوطاننا باسم مساندة المطالب الديمقراطية؛ تمكين دويلات صغيرة من أدوار أكبر من حجم الدول الكبرى... إلخ، كل ذلك انفتح على هلال الثورة التونسية، وما أعقبها من ثورات. لكن الذي لا يرقى إليه شك أن إرادةً جديدة في المجتمع انطلقت، وأُطْلِقت من عقالها. وهذا الكتاب جاء بعنوان: الثورة والانتقال الديمقراطي في الوطن العربي: نحو خطة طريق، وهو يتضمن وقائع الندوة التي أعدّها مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية، بالتعاون مع المعهد السويدي بالإسكندرية، التي انعقدت في تونس، مدينة "الحمّامات" الساحلية، بتاريخ 6-9 شباط/ فبراير 2012، وقد شارك فيها ثمانون باحثاً وباحثة، من أقطار الوطن العربي، بما يمثّلون من اتجاهات فكرية متنوعة، وثقافات مختلفة، كان لها أكبر الأثر في إثراء النقاش وتحديد المسارات. وقد توزّعت بحوث هذا الكتاب (= الندوة) إلى فئتين: فئة البحوث التي تحلل سياقات الثورة (مقدمات وعوامل، وقوى اجتماعية وعوامل، ونتائج وتداعيات)؛ وفئة البحوث التي تتناول تجارب التغيير في البلدان العربية التي وقع فيها ذلك التغيير، والتداعيات المحتملة له في بلدان أخرى محيطة، وتحاول- في الوقت عينه- أن ترسم ملامح خطة طريق للانتقال الديمقراطي، في هذا البلد العربي أو ذاك، آخذةً في الحسبان ممكنات ذلك الانتقال، وقواه الاجتماعية، وبرنامجه السياسي، ومستحضرةً الأثر المباشر للثورات العربية في توليد ديناميات تطور جديدة في المجال السياسي في قسم كبير من تلك البلدان.
