يقع الكتاب في مائتين وثمانين صفحة من القطع الكبير ويتضمن شرحاً مفصلاً ومدعماً بالآراء الوطنية والوضعية والمقارنة وكذلك أحكام محكمة التمييز الأردنية على وجه الخصوص والحديثة منها بالذات للمواضيع التالية: أولاً: أسباب تبرير (الإباحة) وتشمل الدفاع الشرعي وتنفيذ القانون وإطاعة أوامر السلطة المختصة وضروب التأديب التي ينزلها آباؤهم على نحو منا يبيحه العرف العام والعمليات الجراحية والعلاجات الطبية واعنف الذي يقع أثناء ممارسة الألعاب الرياضية، كما تضمن الحديث في مجال بيان حق الدفاع الشرعي وبيان أحكام هذا الحق في الفقه الاسلامي وكذلك الحديث عن حالة الضرورة والمقارنة بينها وبين الدفاع الشرعي. ثانياً: الاشتراك الجرمي وشمل الحديث بيان مفهوم الفاعل المادي والمعنوي والشريك الأصلي والتبعي (المتدخل) والمحرض على ارتكاب الجريمة وجريمة إخفاء الأشياء المتحصل عليها من جناية وإخفاء الأشخاص مرتكبي الجنايات. ثالثاً: العقوبة والتدبير الاحترازي وشمل الحديث بيان معنى العقوبة والتدبير وتقسيمات كل منهما حسب ما جاء في قانون العقوبات الأردني ثم بيان خصائص العقوبة وأهدافها وتم الحدي بشكل مسهب عن عقوبة الاعدام وبيان الرأي بالنسبة للمطالبين بإلغائها وحججهم في هذا الشأن والرد على هذه الحجج، وكذلك عن المرأة الحامل وعقوبة الإعدام. كما شمل الحديث بيان المقصود بوقف تنفيذ العقوبة وشروطه وكان الشرح مدعماً بالآراء الفقهية وكذلك أحكام القضاء الأردني في هذا الصدد.
