تكمن أهمية هذا الكتاب، الذي يتألف من مجموعة من الدراسات العلمية الرصينة، التي أنتجتها نخبة من أهم الباحثين في حقلي الفلسفة وتحليل الخطاب، ليس، فقط، في أنهمامها بالأصول الإبيستيمولوجية لمشروع الباحث السيميائي العربي عبد اللطيف محفوظ الذي أضحى مشروعه إستبدالاً مهما ضمن بقية إستبدالات السيميائيات التداولية، بل في إنتاجها، في نفس الآن، معرفة معمقة بخصوص خلفيات فلسفة التداوليات.
إن ما يجعل هذه الدراسات راهنة وهامة هو إنشغالها بالبعد الفلسفي لإنتاج المعنى من خلال مسألة تأملية مزدوجة لمشروع عبد اللطيف محفوظ وخلفيته النظرية الماثلة في تداوليات الفيلسوف الأمريكي شارل ساندريس بورس.
كما تكمن أهميتها في نقد المشروع السيميائي لعبد اللطيف محفوظ وكشف الخلفيات المعرفية والأيديولوجية التي جعلته يتجاوز النزعة الشكلانية المفرطة للسيميائيات السردية البنيوية التي كانت تهيمن على المشهد الأكاديمي والنقدي العربي، لينفتح على قضايا الإنتاج النصي وإستراتيجيات بناء المعنى والتأويل، محاولاً، عن طريق الإستناد إلى الفلسفة البورسية، إستقصاء ما ترشح به النصوص السردية من تضمينات رمزية وإيديولوجية وثقافية، دون أن يخل بمبدأ الملاءمة النصية.
لقد نجحت هذه الأبحاث في تقديم رؤية نسقية شمولية لمشروع السيميائيات التداولية عند عبد اللطيف محفوظ، بحيث يمكن تأطيرها ضمن ثلاثة توجهات:
1-توجه فلسفي يستنطق الأسس الفلسفية والمبادئ الكلية التي تنتظم بنيات هذا المشروع وأنساقه.
2-توجه ابستيمولوجي يفحص البنية المنهجية والمفاهيمية التي تحكم ممارسته التحليلية.
3-توجه ابستيمولوجي يفحص البنية المنهجية والمفاهيمية التي تحكم ممارسته التحليلية.
4-توجه تحقيبي يتتبع تكونه وسيروراته.
هكذا تمت الإحاطة بهذا المشروع السيميائي المتميز من زوايا متكاملة، وتدارست إشكالات علمية مهمة حول موضوع السيميائيات التداولية، والمعنى والتأويل - وبذلك تكون الدراسات المنشورة في هذا الكتاب قد ساهمت في توضيحها، وتعميق الوعي بطبيعتها الإشكالية المعقدة...
